Leo Movement

Under the umbrella of Lions Clubs International, Leo Club is a social service platform for the youth. From being a grass root member to becoming the youngest President, I have been innovating at every level of the movement & shouldering key responsibilities over the past 7 years (2015-22).

2020-21

As the President of Leo Club of Juhu, amidst a pandemic & it being the clubs 50th Year, the challenge had to be taken head on. With innovation like never before my tenure included the launch of the myLCJ App, helping frontline warriors with COVID essentials, vaccination drives, initiating LGBTQ+ projects, unforeseen levels of collaboration, keeping the central aim of every initiative as the discovery of one’s passion. Being the youngest President of this Club, the learning experience I had was unmatched.

2019-20

From having served at all levels of the movement, it was finally time to tread onto the path to the President of Leo Club of Juhu. I took up the position of Vice President to observe & groom leaders for the upcoming year. Alongside at the Leo District, a position of the Public Relations Officer gave me several avenues to put forth my marketing ideas including the grand Leo Flea which attracted 3000+ visitors and celebrities due to these efforts.

2018-19

On an exponential graph, I got the chance to serve the entire city wide Leo Movement as the Joint Multiple Secretary. Some key initiatives I headed include Run for Humanity – A Marathon that raised Lakhs, Feet of Service – A Flash Mob in 5 countries (same time, song & steps) apart from my duties in the secretarial team.

2017-18

Being appointed as the Joint Secretary of the Club, it is this year that I got to explore managing, doubling opportunities to give back to the community. My network grew outside of the Club into the Leo District & Multiple. In June 2018, I took up the position of the Multiple Convention Manager and became an essential part of organising a mega convention that engaged 200+ members. I Initiated projects like Spotlight to raise awareness on social challenges in 5 countries & PadMan, a movie screening for 300+ underprivileged women on menstrual awareness.

2016-17

Becoming a part of the Board of Directors, the first official post, this year set me in momentum to explore more avenues than ever before. Aside from contributing to every initiative, I designed & developed the Leo Club of Juhu website and co-headed Project Sparsh (donation of playground equipments to 7 Aaganwadis in rural India).

2015-16

Joining in at a young age ready to network & serve the community, I got to head my first project right at the beginning at the year and since then it has only gone up landing me the Best Debut Male award. Showing a keen interest and positively responding to every opportunity, was the highlight of my first year.
